Ryan and Beth's Wedding

Air Travel

If you are flying in you will be using Kansas City International Airport (MCI).

Their ground transportation page has links and information about how to get around once you have landed. Unfortunately, the airport is a good distance away from the wedding site/hotel, public transportation in KC is limited from the airport and the new rental car facility adds significant fees to the cost of renting a car.*

We have, however, placed the wedding within 2 blocks of several hotels and within walking distance of shopping, restaurants, museums and nightlife. So Supershuttle is an attractive option for those that just need to get to and from the airport and are not travelling with a group. They charge $31 round trip and $18 one way to Plaza hotels, including the Marriott.

Groups of 3 or more that do not wish to rent a car may be better off chartering a town car. A quick search found Pech Limousine which can provide a luxury towncar for $50/each way.

* A word of warning about renting cars from the airport facility. Make sure you know the full price before you sign up. When we needed to rent a car from the airport we found a cheap rate online. We were suprised to later find that we would also be charged a fee for the lovely new rental car facility which doubled the cost of the car. This fee was not mentioned online when we signed up.
